I just poked my tongue out and nothing happened

June 24, 2008

Get this. My great grandma came over on the weekend. Her name is Lillian and she is my dad’s grandma. Anyway, I was being held by her daughter, my grandma Davis, and I was feeling cheeky, so I poked my tongue out at her and guess what? Nothing happened. Daddy tells me that poking your tongue out is rude but I ain’t seen no evidence of that. Try it yourself some time. PS That’s my great grandma at the back :-)

Dictation – Part Two

June 24, 2008

Well, mum was pretty good at taking down dictation on a pad, but dad uses a thing called “a computer”. Not really sure what that means, but it is bigger and brighter than a pad and it makes clicking noises. I love it!

Offer you can’t refuse

June 24, 2008

So, dad was watching The Godfather last night, and I just had to start practising my big boss stare – “you want me to do what!” Not bad, is it? Is it!

Once upon a time

June 16, 2008

Once upon a time, there was a poem written by Leonard Cohen. And it seems there was actually more than just one poem written. And it seems my daddy wants to read them all to me. I tell him I will just kick back and let the words lap over me. And daddy says that is just fine. Then he goes on and on about gently drifting along rivers of words, drinking from lakes of verse, and dancing in rain drops of poetry. Think my nappy needs changing.

Yes, Daddy loves us!

How could any daddy do anything other than just melt, when they walk in a room and see these two smiling types in front of them? I don’t know of any.

Grandpa Symonds

June 16, 2008

This is the other grandparent I haven’t showed you yet. Grandpa Symonds. He is currently a student at university. I think that he looks quite the academic type too, looking over his glasses at everyone. Must say I like the sound of being a perpetual student into my 50s …

Everybody needs some shut eye

June 16, 2008

Yes, it is hard work meeting Planet Earth for the first time. So much to teach the servants … At the end of the day, well, actually, throughout most of it, one needs some serious down time.

I ain’t leavin’ the kitchen

June 16, 2008

You probably can’t tell exactly what I am leaning against, but let me say this, you will find me no more than an arm’s length away whenever I am awake!

What! More grandparents?

June 16, 2008

Looks like I have four grandparents. Some have Symonds as a surname and some have Davis. The ones in this picture are the Davis ones. They look eerily familiar …

Dictation

June 14, 2008

You can’t really see my lips moving in this shot, but I am dictating to mummy the key things about my first day on Earth. She is very good at this, although she kept correcting my “grandma” or something. (shrug) Maybe she’ll publish my thoughts one day.
